Exchange Server patch alerts

On 2nd March Microsoft issued an Exchange Server patch alert, this related to on-premises Exchange Server version 2010, 2013, 2016 and 2019.  Online version of Exchange including Office 365 are not affected.

The zero-day vulnerabilities were being exploited by hackers around the world and could pose a threat to the data on the servers.

Microsoft recommended immediate actions to apply the patches for the Exchange servers.  Unusually Microsoft released a patch for Exchange 2010 which reached its end of support lifecycle last year.

The patches covered several CVE’s (Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures) for remote code executions which have been discovered on the 2nd March 2021.

The majority of our clients now use office 365 email and were unaffected and our team successfully patched any servers which required the updates.

If your company has an on-premise Exchange server and would like to discuss migration to Microsoft 365 cloud or ensure that your servers are patched quickly then please contact us and speak to one of our qualified staff.
