Microsoft Extended Service Terms (EST) & M365 Price changes
Microsoft is changing the end of term behaviour by removing the current grace period for expired subscriptions and introducing Extended Service Terms (EST) from 1st April 2026.
Customers who have an existing license from Microsoft directly or via IT provide under the CSP/NCE licensing, will currently have a 7 day grace period between providers.
If you don’t renew, you must either cancel at the end of the term (losing access immediately) or enter a paid EST, rolling monthly term at the standard rate plus 3% uplift (or 23% if no monthly plan exist).
Microsoft Price increases
Microsoft announced in December they’re increasing prices for commercial and non-profit Microsoft 365 suites from 1st July 2026.
The prices increases applies to all new and renewing customers from 1st July 2026. Any existing customers will see the updated prices at their renewal on or after this date.
Prices are likely to increase by 3% and increases reflect the enhanced value that Microsoft have been adding to their suites. This includes: AI-driven tools, advanced security, and improved management features that are designed to allow customers to work more effectively and remain secure.
